dotfiles (Ph03n1x / Omarchy)

My Omarchy setup, managed with chezmoi.

New laptop

  1. Install Omarchy.

  2. Run:

    omarchy pkg add chezmoi
chezmoi init --apply https://git.linhex.com/kannan/chezmoi.git

  3. Log out and back in (or omarchy restart shell and hyprctl reload).

chezmoi apply also installs the extra packages in .chezmoidata/packages.yaml and clones the omalist plugin.

Day to day

chezmoi re-add                # pull edits made in ~/.config back into the repo
chezmoi add ~/.config/foo     # start tracking something new
chezmoi diff                  # what apply would change
chezmoi cd                    # jump into this repo; then git commit / push as usual
chezmoi update                # on another machine: pull + apply
